How to create a catch-all

What is a catch-all? A catch-all account is an email address that collects all the mail sent to your domain name not sent to the other email addresses known to the server. Any emails sent to misspelled recipients at your domain, for example, will be "caught" by the catchall account. For example, the catchall could be defined as [e-mail]. Suppose an email meant for [e-mail] is actually sent, misaddressed, to [e-mail]. The email will end up in the catchall mailbox of [e-mail]

How to create a catchall? First of all, we are going to create an account in a provider domain. I am going to use "Namecheap" but there is a lot of providers through the website. So just click on the next link and proceed to register you there https://www.namecheap.com/myaccount/signup/?ReturnUrl

Once we have our account ready, we are going to proceed to buy a domain. Prices round from 1$/anual, but I would recommend you to buy a '.com' due to it is more difficult to being filtered this one.

So just go to https://www.namecheap.com/domains and write the name of the domain you would like to buy, for example in my case, im going to buy 'gbermudezflare'. Just search for it and you will be able to see some options, like this:

There are a lot of options that are currently bought by someone. In that case you would have to change and look for other domain name.

As I said you before, I recommend you to buy a .com domain, so Im going to buy the first one. Just 'Add to cart', 'View cart' and 'Confirm Order'. So you have just bought your new domain.

Let's proceed to setting it up: Click on your account and go to your 'Dashboard'

Go to 'Manage' the domain you have bought:

Go to 'Redirect Email' and click in 'ADD CATCH-ALL'.

Write your own email, the ones in which you would like to received all the mails from your new cathall and click in the green tick.

Once you have done it, you have your new catch-all ready to use!

If you would like to test it, just send from any of your email accounts a test aimed at your new catchall. For example: - [e-mail] - [e-mail] - [e-mail] You will receive that emails in the email account yo used to redirect your catchalls in the previous step.
